Finished Basements

Partially finished basement – If you want to use a partially finished basement and cover the roof with temporary until you can completely finish the space, consider the fabric. Fabric reduces the industrial feel of the ceiling beams exposed. Fireproof tissue is stapled to wood strips installed as light balsa frame along the walls. Rows of fabric are joined side by side with the rafters, so they can easily access the roof by removing impediments fabric. When you want to put in a permanent roof, just remove the staples and remove the fabric.

Measure the length of each wall along the ceiling. Measure and cut wood strips 2 1/2 inch balsa to the length of each wall at its widest point through the roof.  Determine the amount of fabric needed. Frame along the basement walls stapling balsa wood strips flat against the ceiling beams, connecting the sides of the strip of wood against the partially finished basement walls.

Partially finished basement, start the installation of fabric in the corner of your choice. Organizing the long side of the fabric strip along the other wall. Staple the end of the fabric to the wooden frame on the wall. You may have to cut the cloth to fit. Begin the second row of the installation of the fabric. Pull the fabric taut as you work, pulling gently and staple the overlapping edges of the two rows of fabric to each joist ceiling to the opposite wall. Continue stapling 10 rows of strips of cloth, ensuring the last row along the strip balsa at the other end of the room.
